Traditional look with a “Saree Gown”

Hi beauties,

Hope you had a great Navratri and Dusshera. We are back with another traditional look for the festive season and this time the outfit of choice is a ‘saree gown’.  I wore this saree gown for the celebration of ‘Hindi divas’ at my college.

So before I go on, here’s a little information on what it actually is, a saree gown is basically a saree inspired gown, which looks exactly like a saree, it has a proper fall and pallu falling over your left shoulder except it is a gown and the blouse, pallu and the fall are stitched together. So all you have to do is put the gown on and you will be ready for any traditional event.

The best part about wearing a saree gown is that it offers the best of both worlds! It gives the ethnic and graceful Indian look of a saree combined with the ease and comfort of wearing a gown. Wearing saree to college for a whole day is too tiring and uncomfortable also, people who know me well already know that I would choose comfort over style any day and hence I would sell my soul for something like this, which has both comfort as well as style.

In this outfit, I have styled a black and fuchsia pink saree gown which has a glittery black blouse attached to it, which has a net boat neck.

Since this was a college event, I wanted to keep the look simple and graceful which is why I paired it with a magenta and golden bracelet and a black bindi to make the look more traditional.

Hope this saree gown look was useful for you, we will be back soon with another look for you, till then keep showering your love on us.

Lots of Love,
